WEATHER BLOG: Rain Returns This Week

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The stretch of warm and pleasant weather will come to an end this week, as the next chance for rain returns to the forecast.
Enjoy one more sunny and dry day on Monday before the next storm system impacts the Delaware Valley for the middle of the week. High pressure located over New England will keep skies sunny with warm high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s on Monday. Humidity levels will still remain on the lower side for most of the day, but begin to increase Monday night.
A low pressure system moving out of the Midwest will spread clouds into the region Tuesday morning with showers and possible thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and night. Some of the showers could be heavy especially during the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be much cooler in the 70s to near 80 degrees.
A cold front will then slide through early Wednesday morning, keeping the chance for some showers during the morning hours. Skies will then begin to clear with drier and less humid conditions by Wednesday afternoon.
