Wawa Welcome America's Taste Of Philadelphia Is 3 Days Of Music, Culinary Treats And Fireworks
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Taste of Philadelphia is back in full effect at Penn's Landing this weekend featuring big name artists such as Aaron Neville and Gerald Vesley.
This year's festival is bigger and more delicious than last year's.
Wawa Welcome America's Taste of Philadelphia is three-days of music, a waterfront view and culinary treats - like jerk chicken and empanadas.
And this year, they stepped it up a notch with two stages, cooking demonstrations and a wine tasting tent.
"Its' probably the best example of the food and the restaurants that we have in the city," says Melanie Johnson, executive director of Welcome America, Inc.
Reporter: "So tell me what you like about the Taste of Philly?"
Participant 1: "The music, the people, the food."
Participant 2: "Everything I've had so far has been delicious."
There's a fireworks show on Saturday and a gospel extravaganza on Sunday.
Taste of Philadelphia runs through Sunday.
