Wawa Recalls Prepared Fruit Products Over Concern Of Possible Salmonella Contamination
By Suzanne Monaghan
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Wawa is voluntarily recalling certain products that could be contaminated with salmonella from tainted mangoes.
At least ten products are being recalled, most are pre-packaged fruit mixes with a sell-by date of September 3rd or earlier. Not all contain mango, but health officials say they could have been processed on common equipment. They were sold in hundreds of Wawa stores across five states, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The recall is part of a larger national recall by the suppliers of Daniella brand mangoes.
A list of products and stores where they were sold is available at wawa.com.
