Water Main Break Shuts Down Pottstown Street
POTTSTOWN, Pa., (CBS) – A 20-inch water main break has closed a Pottstown street Thursday night.
The break was reported around 6:30 p.m. at the 200 block of Berks Street.
Eyewitness News is told water officials have to manually shut off the valves, which is taking time. Each valve takes 257 rotations to shut off, with two crew members turning the valve.
When the water is finally shut off, service to parts of Pottstown and West Pottsgrove will be affected.
