Water Department Workers Save Kitten In West Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Officials say a kitten was rescued by water department workers Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, Philadelphia Water Department employees were working on the side of a drain at 50th and Irvine Streets in West Philadelphia.
When the workers heard a kitten on the other side of the drain they went in to rescue the animal, says officials.

The kitten was turned over to animal control for evaluation. The SPCA will take over after that.
It was not immediately known how the kitten ended up on the side of the drain.
