Watching Hurricane Sandy's Offensive Pattern, Eagles Say Sunday Game Is Still On

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Officials with both the City of Philadelphia and the Eagles are watching the path of Hurricane Sandy (see related story), and Eagles officials say at this point Sunday's game at the Linc is still a "go."
Fans planning on tailgating Sunday morning at the Linc, in advance of the Eagles 1pm game against the Falcons, should go ahead and fill up their coolers. Team spokesman Rob Zeiger said this morning that the show, at this point, will go on.
"We're watching the weather like everyone else, and we're in contact with the city and the league. But right now the plan is kick off 1pm Sunday (and) put on a great game for our fans," he said.
Meantime, Philadelphia managing director Rich Negrin says city preparations are underway for the coming storm.
"We're treating this storm a lot like we treated Irene last year," Negrin tells KYW Newsradio, "so we're having operational meetings, we're getting ready. It's a few days out, so we have time to prepare."
Negrin says residents should also prepare -- and there are tips at the city's emergency operations web site, readyphiladelphia.org.
