Federal Warrants Continue To Spread Across Philadelphia Amid Union Boss Investigation
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Multiple federal investigations have sent ripples across Philadelphia political circles.
The latest revelation came Tuesday. Federal agents showed up at an attorney general's field office in Southwest Philadelphia with a search warrant. A spokesman for the attorney general confirmed that to CBS 3.

The investigation into the IBEW, powerful union head John Dougherty, a city councilman and others has taken a new twist with Tuesday's visit to the attorney general's office.
Sources say the search warrant examines some private security work apparently conducted by a narcotics agent at the attorney general's office. Now, a spokesman wouldn't comment on anything in the warrant, characterizing it as a personnel matter.
"This is what you guys refer to as a developing story," said David Thornburgh of Committee of Seventy. "There's a lot more we don't know than we do."
Thornburgh says a cloud of suspicion is cast over City Hall and operations at the IBEW. City Councilman Bobby Henon's office was raided earlier this month, part of a sweeping operation across the city by the FBI.
Henon did not respond to repeated requests for comment made by CBS 3, personally at his City Hall and Tacony offices. Aside from his city council job, Henon also works for the IBEW.
"If he has nothing to hide, then it is to his advantage to step forward and put the cards on the table," Thornburgh said.
