Warmest Day Of 2015 Expected This Weekend
By Katie Fehlinger
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - While our Friday has been dampened with April showers, Mother Nature is about to pay us back in a big way! An absolutely gorgeous weekend is on the horizon.
As high pressure builds in briefly Saturday, area temperatures have the chance to climb to the upper 70s! We're pegging the high to hit 77 degrees in Philadelphia, a thermometer reading we haven't hit since October 15th, 2014.
Meanwhile, a weak cool front crosses through Saturday night into Sunday. While I don't think we have to worry about any wet weather, you will notice the second half of the weekend is the cooler, albeit more seasonable, half. Sunday's high gets held back to the mid 60s despite sunshine.
Bottom line, outdoor plans are essentially a requirement this weekend!
However, rain gear becomes the weather accessory of choice by Monday. A large and complex storm system will make its arrival for the first day back to work and school in the form of heavy rain and wind.
Have a fantastic weekend!
