Villanova Hosts Symposium On Concussions In Sports

VILLANOVA, Pa. (CBS) - A symposium today at Villanova University is discussing head injuries and brain trauma, and how they're reshaping the world of sports.
It's called Concussion Conundrum, looking at several different angles of how concussions are affecting sports, especially football, "from the angle of former players, from the angle of lawyers, from the angle of media personalities debating the football, and the future of parents letting their kids play football," says Andrew Brandt, director of the Center for the Study of Sports Law at Villanova Law School and the panel moderator.
That discussion, he says, includes other youth sports with violent concussions, like hockey and soccer.
He says they are also discussing the lawsuit that starts next month that has 4,000 former players suing the NFL.
