PHILADELPHIA (CBS) —The Villanova Wildcats are on their way to San Antonio on Wednesday, bound for the Final Four.

The Wildcats boarded the team bus that left from The Davis Center at around 4 p.m.

"This never gets old. It only gets bigger and better every year," Head Coach Jay Wright said before boarding the bus on the way to the airport, as they look to fly out to San Antonio.

"Boston was really good to us last time and I hope Texas is the same. San Antonio is the best place for a Final Four; you can walk to everything. Good weather. And I hope it's good to us," Wright said.

The Wildcats play a fellow No. 1 seed in Kansas on Saturday, with a chance to advance to the NCAA national championship.

"Our guys all take great pride in representing the university, the whole community and Philadelphia basketball," Wright told reporters.

"They're ready. They've had good practices. We get two days down there on the court. So, we still have some work to do but I think they're ready," Wright said about his team.

A win over the Jayhawks on Saturday would put Nova in their second NCAA championship game in just 3 years.

"There's nothing like a national championship. Just playing for it is an honor. We're proud every step of the way," Wright said.

Villanova's president says it's been a wild ride so far.

There are obligations to be met on and off the floor for the Wildcats, as they try to block out distractions.

"It''s really the greatest challenge. Teams you play are great but there are so many responsibilities and commitments you have down there, especially the players [who are] trying to find a way to stay focus--it's really difficult. But the other teams are going through it too," Wright explained.
