Villanova And Temple Ranked In This Week's Top 25
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a quiet day on the local college basketball scene, but there is some news as the new Associated Press Top 25 poll released on Monday features a pair of Big 5 squads.
Villanova (14-1), fresh off Sunday's 72-61 win over previously undefeated Cincinnati (see related story), remains ranked #7. The Wildcats will next host Louisville at the Wachovia Center on Wednesday.
Undefeated Duke remains #1 in the country.
Temple, meanwhile, beat St. Louis on Sunday, 57-53, to improve to 11-3 (see related story). That win also helped the Owls re-enter the Top 25 for the third time this season. The Owls jump all the way up to 19th in the country.
Fran Dunphy's squad returns to the court on Wednesday to host St. Bonaventure.
