Video: Suspects Use AK-47 To Rob Philadelphia Convenience Store
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who used an AK-47 to rob a convenience store and the entire incident was caught on tape.
The robbery happened at about 4:55 p.m. on December 14th at the 59th Street Mini Market in the city's Wynnefield section.
The suspects entered the store and the suspect armed with the AK-47 went to the store's counter, while the second suspect physically confronted an employee. The second suspect forced the employee behind the counter and handed the employee a plastic bag.
The employee filled the bag up with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The suspect with the AK-47 stood watch over the store and even briefly searched through the pants of a customer who immediately dropped to the ground once he saw the suspects with the gun.
After obtaining the cash and cigarettes, the suspects ran out of the store and down a nearby alley.
The suspects are described as black males, wearing masks over their faces. They were wearing black-hooded jackets, dark-colored pants and tan leather boots.
