Video: Spencer Hawes Scored 58 Points At Jamal Crawford Pro-Am
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – When you stare at the Sixers roster, you wonder how they'll make it to 75 points on any given night. Perhaps Spencer Hawes is looking at the same thing and thinking of taking some of the scoring load himself this season.
Hawes scored 58 points on 19-30 shooting and 19-22 from the free throw line during a game at the Jamal Crawford Summer Pro-Am on Saturday. Hawes' Huskies team won the game 99-66.
Crawford himself scored 46 points in one of the games in July, and Chester product Tyreke Evans scored 42.
Hawes was fined $15,000 by the NBA earlier this summer for his participation in an unsanctioned University Of Washington alumni game.
The Sixers need all the help scoring they can get this year, but if I see Hawes shoot 30 times in any game I might have to take a week or two off from watching.
