Video: Man Uses U-Haul Truck To Steal 'Large Amount Of Jewelry' In Port Richmond

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect who was caught on tape using a U-Haul truck to crash through a store to steal a "large amount of jewelry."
The incident happened at the Gold Fingers Jewelers located at 2401 E. Venango Street in Port Richmond.

According to investigators, the incident happened between 6:30 p.m. on August 7th and 9:00 a.m. August 8th.
Surveillance camera footage captured the suspect walking around in front of the jewelry store. Moments later, the suspect jumped into a U-Haul truck and rammed the rear of the building until the cinder block wall broke.
Once the wall fell down, the suspect hopped out of the truck and entered the store.
While inside, the suspect smashed several glass cases and, according to police, stole "a large amount of jewelry." Investigators did not disclose how much in value was stolen.
The suspect then fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6", with thin build, blonde hair and facial hair. He was wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt.
