VIDEO: Armed Suspect Robs Northeast Philadelphia 7-Eleven
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for an armed gunman who robbed a Northeast Philadelphia convenience store earlier this month.
The armed robbery happened at about 6:20 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located in the 9900 block of Frankford Avenue.
According to investigators, the suspect initially entered the store at about 6:05 a.m., walked around and eventually walked out. About 15 minutes later, the suspect re-entered the store and approached an employee at the counter.
The suspect asked the employee for a pack of cigarettes and the employee turned his back to the suspect to grab the pack. When the employee turned around, the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded cash.
The employee opened the register and placed the money drawer on the counter. The suspect grabbed approximately $280 being running out of the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 20s, 5'6"-5'8", 140-145 lbs. He was wearing black gloves, a gray-hooded sweatshirt and a black jacket.
