Victim Testifies In South Philadelphia Attempted Abduction Case

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Philadelphia jury hears from the victim of a brazen, mid-day attempted abduction in South Philadelphia in July of last year. And the attack, targeting a 10-year-old girl walking with her toddler brother, was caught on surveillance video.
Thirty-four year Carlos Figueroa-Fagot is charged in the case (see previous story), and the little girl, now 11, who identified Figueroa-Fagot from a group of photographs shortly after the crime has repeated her identification in court.
And when court resumes, the jury is expected to see the chilling video, released by police shortly after the crime to help catch the attacker. In the video, a man gets out of a car, moves up quickly behind the girl and her 21-month-old brother. The man grabs her, she struggles, he drops her. They struggle for a couple of seconds and the man flees, running to his car around the corner and driving away.
Figueroa-Fagot has pleaded not guilty. The defense contends its a case of mistaken identity.
