Victim Speaks Out After Being Stalked And Threatened, Suspect Arrested

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An update on a story you saw first on Eyewitness News.

3 was On-Your-Side with a public safety alert from police after three women reported that a man stalked and threatened them.

Police sources say as a result of our news report, police arrested their suspect within days. That suspect then admitted to police he is responsible for victimizing six women.

53-year-old Paul Livingston was bold and brazen. That's according to at least one of the victims he stalked and threatened in broad daylight.

"I thought this day and age, people are nuts and I don't put anything past anybody."

For her protection, Eyewitness News is not identifying the victim. Police say she is one of six women Livingston admitted to threatening since May 30th. Police say Livingston picked his victims in the parking lot of shopping centers in South and Northeast Philadelphia. All six victims told police, after shopping they returned to their car and found a note on their windshield.

"Leave my money, my wallet, my jewelry, put it in a bag, put it underneath my car and then go to another store."

If they refused, Livingston threatened to hurt their family members.

"It's a worst case scenario. God forbid this nut did go through with that."

Thus knowing Livingston is now in jail is a relief. But this victim is concerned after learning Livingston is a career stalker. Court records show he's been in and out of jail for similar crimes in the past in Chester, Leigh and Montgomery counties since 1991.

"That's just very unfortunate and he should pay. It's a shame, it's a shame maybe if women hear you can speak up and make him pay they won't be as frightened."

In addition to the six known victims, a woman contacted Eyewitness News this week to report that she, too, had fallen victim and only after seeing our story, she thought of calling police.

Police continue to urge any other victims to come forward.

Livingston, in the meantime, remains in jail. He's due in court next week.
