Victim Shot In $70,000 Rhawnhurst Robbery Speaks Out, Offers Reward

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Speaking out for the first time since he was shot in an August 28th robbery in Rhawnhurst, the victim told CBS 3's Walt Hunter, he is alive "by the grace of God", the bullet fired almost point blank, causing a "non-life threatening" wound to his arm.
The victim, a businessman whose identity is being concealed by CBS 3, is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the robber who shot him and his accomplice.
"He shot me and thought I passed away," the victim told Hunter in his first interview. "He didn't care if I died, he was looking for the money."
Detectives say the gunman ambushed the victim as he pulled into a parking space, shooting him as he sat in the driver's seat, then stealing a bank deposit bag with $70,000 cash.
Surveillance video then shows the gunman jumping into a getaway van driven by his accomplice.
Police say the pair waited in the parking lot for two hours for the victim to arrive and, because of that, they may have been seen by many witnesses.
The victim says he fears the pair may strike again hurting others.
"Peoples' lives are in danger," the victim told Hunter.
"Today I got lucky, but tomorrow (someone else) may not be."
