Vick Once Again NFC's Offensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In the wake of his four-touchdown performance on Sunday, leading the Eagles back from that 31-10 fourth-quarter deficit against the Giants, quarterback Michael Vick has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

It's the third time in seven weeks that Vick has earned this honor.

Against the Giants, Vick completed 21 of 35 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns.  He was intercepted once.

Vick also gashed the Giants on the ground, finishing with 130 yards rushing and a score on just ten carries.

The Eagles, of course, eventually won 38-31 on Desean Jackson's 65-yard punt return for a score with no time left (see previous stories).

Vick continues to make a strong case for the NFL Most Valuable Player Award.  For the season, Vick has completed 63.2 percent of his passes, for 2,755 yards and 20 touchdowns, while throwing just five interceptions.

He's also rushed for 613 yards and eight more scores.
