Vehicles Vandalized In Montgomery County

SKIPPACK TWP, Pa. (CBS) - Vandals struck a quiet neighborhood in Montgomery County early Sunday morning, damaging more than a dozen vehicles.
This happened on Serenity Street in Skippack Township.
"It's hard to imagine what somebody would be thinking and why they would do it," vandalism victim Steve Kowalke said. "Obviously, it's something that we would never do."
All along the street someone vandalized 16 cars. Kowalke's pickup truck had the door keyed. Families visiting from out-of-town had their rental cars vandalized.
"We unfortunately found out our car had scratches as well as their rental car they brought in from Michigan," Kowalke said.
Down the street, Dave Hafer had two cars vandalized. Both cars were sitting in his drive way.
"It's just ridiculous," he said. "It's senseless because here's enough vehicles damaged that it could possibly be charged as a felony based on the amount of vehicles and damage done."
The cars weren't the end of it. The vandals also knocked a light off the garage of a home leaving wires sticking out of the house.
"I'm hoping it's just kids," vandalism victim Dave Boccelli said. "I hope they catch them. They did get some prints off of one of the cars. Hopefully they'll catch them and justice will be served."
There is at least one more car that wasn't vandalized, but the owner says he thinks the suspects were inside, rummaging through his belongings. He says he thinks that because there was a cigarette in the ashtray and he doesn't smoke.
