Vandals Go On Tire Slashing Spree In Delaware And Philadelphia's Holmesburg Neighborhood
CLAYMONT, DE (CBS) - The type of vandalism some Northeast and West Philadelphia residents have experienced has now moved just over the state line into Claymont, Delaware.
New Castle County police confirm they are investigating several incidents of flat tires discovered by residents Sunday morning.
The targeted section is in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Green Street where several cars had tires slashed.
Residents see this as a cowardly act of a copycat.
"They're copying off of Philly, I guess. That's the only thing I can think of," said Dan Matsanka.
Police have no suspects so far.
Meanwhile, there are more reports of slashed tires in Northeast Philadelphia Sunday evening.
Police were called out to the 3500 block of Decatur Road in the Holmesburg section of the city where a car had two of its tires slashed.
No arrests have been made in this incident at this time. Police are investigating.
