US Airways Teams Pull a Jetliner For Charity

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- US Airways held its seventh annual "human jet pull" today at Philadelphia International Airport, to benefit charity.
Thirty-two teams of 20 members each competed against each other to see who could pull a rope with a 50-ton Airbus jetliner attached the fastest.
They have to go 15 feet.
Lisa Minor normally works at the airline's ticket counter, and was on Team Diva.
"We are going to do the best we can with the muscles we have, and pull on!" she said while her team awaited their turn.
Bob Ciminelli, US Airways vice president of the Philadelphia hub, says the event is a friendly competition among employees, vendors, and friends to raise money for the United Way.
"Obviously it's a team-building event," he tells KYW Newsradio. "People are working together to give back to the community. We are here to serve the customers and move the flights and the baggage, but really we are here to help serve our community who needs help, and we are all really proud to do that."
