Upper Darby Diner, Scene of Oscar-Nominated Movie, Plans a Viewing Party
By John McDevitt
UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- An Oscar-watching party will be held this Sunday night at an Upper Darby, Pa. diner that was featured in a movie up for eight Academy Awards.
Actors Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence filmed indoor and outdoor scenes for Silver Linings Playbook at the Llanerch Diner, on Township Line Road in Upper Darby (see related story).
"You want to have dinner at this diner?" Cooper's character asks.
"Pick me up at 7:30," Lawrence's character responds.
A plaque was recently displayed at the booth (top photo) where the actors sat and filmed the scene.
So, on Sunday evening, the public is invited to view the Oscars broadcast at the Llanerch Diner. There will be free hors d'oeuvres, plus a mini-round champagne for every golden Oscar that Silver Linings Playbook scores.

"I would recommend coming probably around 7:30," says waitress Kimberly DePrince. "Because it's free, a lot of people will be there."
The telecast of the red carpet arrivals begins at 7pm. The awards ceremony gets under way about 8:30pm (ET).
The Llanerch Diner says its Sunday night guests are also encouraged to dress as if they were actually going to the Oscars!
