PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Officials at Philadelphia International Airport had some tense moments earlier Friday evening when a US Airways flight was the target of a threat.
Flight 968 which began in Glasgow, Scotland landed at Philadelphia International and was immediately evacuated. US AIrways spopkeswoman Valerie Wunder says FBI agents in Europe had received information about a non-specific threat to the flight.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we deplaned the passengerse and move dthe airplane to a remote location for inspection, and obviously the safety and comfort of our customer and crew are our utmost concern so we are working with the TSA and proper authorities."
Those passengers who ended their flight in Philadelphia were allowed to leave and go home. The others waiting to head back to Anchorage were interviewed by federal investigators. No other flights at Philadelphia International were impacted by the investigation.
