Unsettled Week Continues

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The uneasy pattern of weather that we have been experiencing will continue on Wednesday, but it may indeed be the quietest day of the work week (and that's not saying much!)
After some brief heavy rain and storms moving through the Delaware Valley Wednesday morning, the remainder of the day is looking a little drier. An east wind bringing cooler ocean air off the water should help to put a damper on afternoon showers and storms, although an isolated few can't be ruled out. Speaking of 'damp', it will continue to feel muggy and humid. Certainly not the best week as far as hair goes. Highs will hover around 80 degrees.
As we head into the second half of the week, the weather becomes even more unsettled. A warm front lifting north of the area will trigger showers and thunderstorms for Thursday, followed by more thunderstorms on Friday as a cold front approaches.
Everything clears out later Friday night, and that sets up for the fourth weekend in a row of nice weather ... perhaps some well deserved payback from this past winter!

1920 -- Patrol vessel USS Eagle, while making passage up the Delaware River, was struck by a storm squall and capsized, killing 9.
