United States' Olympics Gear Made In China

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Turns out the Ralph Lauren gear the USA athletes will wear in London for the Olympics are made in China.
With white pants, blue blazer and a beret, the Team USA opening ceremony outfit is described by one critic as "aggressively preppy".
But, it's not the Ralph Lauren styling, but rather the label that has people upset. Turns out every part of the uniform -- from that beret down to the shoes -- is made in China.
That's making a lot of people here in Philadelphia angry, like Bobby Allen from North Philly.
"Definitely a big contract, a lot of people looking for jobs, a lot of people out of work, and you know, we need jobs here."
Sylvester Carter from West Oak Lane says, "I know a lot of clothes -- and everything -- is being made in China, but that particular uniform should have been made here."
A US Olympic committee spokesman tweeted the controversy is nonsense, saying Ralph Lauren is an American company that supports American athletes.
You'd think Ralph Lauren would have learned their lesson. A similar controversy happened in 2008, as parts of that uniform were also made in China. And at the 2002 Winter Games, part of that uniform was made by a Canadian company.
