Union Search For Three Points As They Travel To DC
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Union will try to add to D.C. United's early-season struggles on Sunday as they pay RFK Stadium a visit.
Philadelphia is 2-2-2 through six games, that includes a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC last time out.
"I think this team has grown a little bit in chemistry," Union goalie Zac MacMath tells KYW Newsradio. "And I think we're all starting to play better together and hopefully we can continue that this weekend and on through the rest of the season."
2012 was a lost season for the Union, but MacMath thinks they are on the right track here in 2013.
"The coaching staff has done a great job of getting everyone together and we're much more of a team in the locker room and on the field," MacMath says. "Everyone gets a long, we've got a good veteran presence and youth presence."

D.C. United sits in a tie for last in the Eastern Conference with Chicago with a 1-4-1 mark, but MacMath says they aren't focusing on that ledger.
"Any time we play D.C. it's always a fight," MacMath says. "The last few games, there's always been red cards, a lot of yellow cards, a lot of hard tackles. That's what we have to expect going down into RFK."
MacMath says the venue will also pose a challenge for the Union.
"It's a tough place to play," MacMath says. "It's a pretty big atmosphere and their fans are pretty rowdy most of the game. But hopefully we can silence the crowd pretty early on and play the way we want to."
The Union and D.C. United will get underway at 5:00pm on Sunday.
