Underwater Archaeologist To Address Cleopatra Symposium In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- French underwater archeologist Franck Goddio is in Philadelphia for a special symposium this weekend at the Franklin Institute.

Goddio (above) has wrapped up his latest dive in the Bay of Alexandria, in Egypt, calling this his best year of discovery since the site opened.

His latest discoveries include large bronze statuettes of Greek gods in a Temple of Isis, where Cleopatra once worshipped:

"It's the first time we are finding those bronze statuettes in Alexandria.  We found many of those in Aboukir Bay and in the second city of Heracleion, but not in Alexandria."
