Two Suspects Sought In Wilmington Wawa Robbery, $5,000 Reward

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Wawa is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two suspects in a robbery that took place at the New Linden Hill Road, Wawa store, located in the Pike Creek section of Wilmington, Delaware.

According to police, just before 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 31, two men entered the Wawa store and displayed handguns before demanding money from the store's cash register.

Police say the clerk, who was complying with the suspects' request, was shot in the thigh. The suspects then removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, as well as cigarettes before fleeing the store.


While sitting in a car outside of the Wawa, the suspects were witnessed by a 58-year-old man who told police they fired two shots towards him, striking his vehicle before driving away.

The store clerk was treated and released from Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the second victim was not injured.


The first suspect is described as a male, standing between 5'08"-5'10" tall, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark gloves, blue jeans, tan boots, and was wearing a face mask. He was also armed with a dark handgun.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light gloves, and was also armed with a handgun.
