Police Investigate Two Possible Attempts Of Child Luring In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)— Police in Philadelphia are investigating two separate attempted child lurings that happened last week.
On September 19th at approximately 3:30 p.m. a 12-year-old girl reported to police that an unknown male driving a white van appeared to be following her and other classmates attending Harding Middle School.
The unidentified male was observed before and after school hours and is described as an Asian/Indian male between 40 to 50 years old, with gray hair and a beard.
A second possible attempted child luring was reported on September 20th and took place at 1200 Byberry Road at about 2:25 p.m.
A 14-year-old female reported to police that while she was waiting for the bus an unknown male driving a silver vehicle stopped his car and started to engage her in conversation.
When he attempted to move towards the passenger side door of his car, the victim screamed and the male drove away.
The alleged offender is described as a white male, in his 50s, with short gray hair, a beard and no mustache. The silver vehicle he was operating is possibly a Nissan Altima.
