Two Men Critically Wounded In Afternoon Shooting In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A double shooting in Kensington in broad daylight Saturday afternoon left two men critically wounded.
Philadelphia police responded to gun shots fired in the 2800 block of Swanson Street at approximately 1:08 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
One victim, a 24-year-old male who was shot once in the upper leg, was transported by medics to Temple University Hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition. The second victim is a 46-year-old male, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the legs and was transported privately to Temple University Hospital. He is also listed in critical but stable condition.
Police cordoned off the block to contain the scene, which was littered with gun casings. Witnesses described the shooter as an Hispanic male with tattoos on his neck, black curly hair, and wearing a black hoodie. He was seen fleeing the scene in a small silver car with heavy tint and blue LED lights on the front undercarriage.
So far, there have been no arrests and no weapon recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
