Two Dead After Motorcycle Crash In Holmesburg
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash in Northeast Philadelphia.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday along State Road, near Ashburner Street in the city's Holmesburg section.
Police say the driver of the motorcycle lost control of the bike and struck a utility pole.
A female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The man operating the motorcycle was rushed to nearby Aria-Torresdale Hospital where he died a short time later.
Investigators say neither victim was wearing a safety helmet.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
