Two Area Supermarkets Recall Veggie Burgers
CARLISLE, Pa. (CBS) – Two area supermarkets have issued a recall due to an undeclared allergen on the ingredient label.
Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets have recalled several Lightlife Foods products due to the presence of milk in the item.
The products are:
• Lightlife Farmers Market Veggie Burgers, UPC 4345480525, 12 oz., with best if used
by date of July 16, 2013 and July 30, 2013
• Lightlife Kick n Black Bean Burgers, UPC 4345480526, 12 oz., with best if used by
date of July 16, 2013 and July 30, 2013
While both stores have received no reports of illness, they say those who suffer from a milk allergy could be at risk of having an allergic reaction.
