Twitter's Fan Since '09 Talks About His Meeting With Adam Aron
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you don't already know what this is about, it's going to be tough to explain it to you.
In short, Fan Since '09 (@FanSince09) is sort of a Twitter celebrity in Philadelphia sports Twitter. He's an anonomous gentleman that takes it upon himself to both entertain the masses, as well as call shenanigans on people and things in Philly sports. The name, Fan Since '09, is an allusion to Phillies fans who just began liking the team after they won the World Series.
This make any sense to you? No? I'm sorry, I am.
In any case, the object of Mr. '09's ire recently has been Sixers CEO Adam Aron. FS09 launched into Aron on Twitter recently, calling him out for his tweets after the Sixers season has fallen apart.
Ever the gentleman, Aron invited FS09 to a game and lunch, as sort of an opportunity for an airing of grievances. That meeting took place Wednesday in Los Angeles, when the Sixers took on the Clippers.
After the meeting, I got a tweet from FS09 asking if he wanted me to call in to my show, as I was on SportsRadio WIP at the time. Of course, I said yes. And as far as I know it, we had the first time his voice has ever been heard.
Enjoy! If you made it this far, you might as well.
