Twitter: Scott O'Neil Defends Sixers' Statement On Embiid
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- In a statement released by the Sixers on July 11th, the team announced that Joel Embiid had experienced "less healing than anticipated" in the navicular bone in his right foot.
Furthermore, the Sixers announced they would proceed with a "bone graft of the fracture site" and Embiid would miss the upcoming season.
On Monday, Bob Cooney reported that Joel Embiid's foot was rebroken, and many interpreted that to mean the Sixers hid information. While the team has not yet addressed the report, CEO Scott O'Neil took to Twitter to defend the Sixers' stance.
