By Melony Roy
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The microblogging site Twitter has opened up advertising to all businesses, not just those who were invited during the test period. It presents small business with some highly-targed options to reach customers.
After years of slow roll outs and testing with specific partners, anyone can now go to Twitter's newly opened self-serve platform and start buying Twitter ads.
"So now when you look at Twitter advertising when you are looking at your targeting options," Lou Perseghin, Client Service Manager for local social media marketing agency ChatterBlast, says. "You're seeing things that were previously only available to larger advertisers which is really great if you are a small boutique in center city and you want to do Twitter ads."
Twitter's self service ad platform is designed to help users build their presence, grow their brand, or increase sales.
"You much more deeper targeting options so your money goes a lot farther"
Twitter Ads launched in March last year. Anyone can access by heading over to business.twitter.com and answering a couple of questions.
