Twins With Autism Building Up Their Wrapping Paper Business
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- This holiday season has some local brothers putting their skills to work -- creating handmade wrapping paper that's for sale.
18-year-old Eddie Tuckerman is hard at work, creating new designs for his family's wrapping paper business.
Their parents started the business for Eddie and his twin brother Mike.
The boys have autism but they've always loved drawing.
Some of their recent works include the pope, birthday or Christmas themes... which his parents have turned into wrapping paper for Christmas and Chanukah.
With statistics placing the unemployment rate for autistic adults at 90%, Mike and Eddie's parents plan to keep them busy long after high school.
It's called Tuckerboys Noveltees, available on their Facebook business page and on their Etsy page.
For $10, a roll of wrapping paper is shipped directly from their home and 50 cents of every sale goes to local charities, to give back to those who have given them so much.
The Tuckerman twins aren't just artists.
They also help with filling orders.
In just a few weeks, they've sold more than 300 rolls around the county.
They'd eventually like to expand to t-shirts and seasonal items.
