Trump Supporter Dismisses Outrage Over Trump And Russian Hackers
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - At a press conference, Donald Trump caused an uproar when he asked Russian hackers to find and release lost emails from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private server.
During an interview with Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, CNN Contributor and Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord said the media outrage is exaggerated and should be focused on Clinton, President Obama and the Democrats.
"I just find this hilarious. These are the people who got us in this stuff. The man who said ISIS is the JV team. I just find this amazing. Donald Trump, confronted with some of the criticism said, well these are the people that got us in this, why would I want their support? This is the establishment way of doing business and they're all going to gather around her and protect her."
He stated that Democrats are trying to call attention to the issue when Trump says something, but wanted the media to ignore it previously,
'There's really nothing to worry about here because the Clinton campaign has assured us, and Hillary Clinton herself, that these 30,000 emails were all just personal things about weddings and yoga classes. I don't really see what's the worry. What's the big deal? Now they're saying this is suddenly a national security issue? I'm thinking if it's national security now, why wasn't it national security yesterday?''
