Tropicana Casino & Resort
The Tropicana Casino and Resort has been voted Atlantic City's "Luckiest Casino" five different times by Casino Player Magazine. The casino has more than 3,200 slot machines and 170 table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Three Card, Caribbean Stud, Let it Ride, Four Card and Texas Hold 'Em.
Located just inside the Tropicana is The Quarter, an expansive non-gaming area with an array of restaurants, entertainment, nightlife venues, retail shops and a spa facility. The complex's Old Havana theme is brought to life with two-story streetscape décor.
The Quarter also features more than 20 restaurants, and guests looking for fine dining options can visit Golden Dynasty, an authentic Asian restaurant with a Buddha garden; Il Verdi, a gourmet dining destination featuring Northern Italian cuisine and paired with an Italian wine list; FIN, a seafood restaurant with a sushi and raw bar, plus out-door, oceanfront seating; Wellington's, which offers classic seafood dishes and steak entrees along with ocean views; Carmine's, a family-style Italian restaurant; Cuba Libre, an authentic Cuban restaurant reminiscent of 1940s Havana; the Palm Restaurant, with its signature caricature adorned walls, prime steaks, large lobsters and traditional Italian dishes; P.F. Chang's China Bistro, offering traditional Chinese cuisine; and Red Square, which has international cuisine with Russian flair in a pseudo-Soviet atmosphere that's highlighted by a 60-foot bar--made of real ice!--offering over 100 rare vodkas. Phew!
More casual dining options include Fiesta Buffet, a Havana-themed buffet with all-you-can-eat crab legs, prime rib, carving and grill stations; Seaside Café, the only 24-hour restaurant in the; The Seaside Café, offering a vast array of café items; A Dam Good Sports Bar, featuring an affordable "American-style" menu; The Comedy Stop Café, which mixes hilarious evenings of comedic entertainment with casual dining; Corky's Ribs & BBQ, serving a variety of chicken and beef straight from the grill; Rí~Rá Irish Pub, offering authentic Irish fare; and Zeytinia, which provides eat-in or take-out dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Inside the Marketplace on the first floor, A Dam Good Deli delivers fresh, made-to-order deli sandwiches, homemade soups and salads. Boardwalk Favorites offers just what it says--classic Boardwalk treats like foot-long hot dogs, fresh fruit smoothies, soft pretzels, cotton candy and pizza. Create-A-Cone allows guests to choose their favorite ice-cream flavor and toppings. Finally, Hooters serves up bar classics like beer and wings. A Starbucks is also on the premises.
The Tropicana is home to many nightlife destinations, too. For a lounge setting, Alto Vino is a wine bar with a small plates menu, live entertainment and views of Atlantic City's beach and boardwalk. Tango's Casino Lounge offers a selection of wines, cocktails and spirits, plus live music. Rumba Lounge, in the heart of the casino, airs sporting events on 12 televisions throughout the bar, and Top of The Trop offers panoramic views of the city in a relaxed atmosphere, along with specialty drinks.
Providence is a nightclub in the Trop that has two elevated DJ towers, crystal chandeliers, dancers and well-known DJ's creating a high-energy vibe, while Cuba Libre features DJs and salsa dancing. The Missile Bar, located on the third floor, opens at midnight for late-night dancing, and 32° Luxe Lounge offers European bottle service in an intimate setting. Rí~Rá Irish Pub also offers nightly entertainment, and so does Planet Rose Karaoke Bar, which has wild and colorful décor and provides customers with the chance to take the stage and belt out their favorite tunes. A Dam Good Sports Bar airs sporting events and has a billiards room. Plus, it features a late night bar menu and live music on the weekends. Finally, Firewaters has a lively dance floor and offers 101 beer varieties along with other spirits.
The Tropicana Showroom is the resort casino's Broadway-style theater and holds up to 2,000 people. The Showroom features headline entertainment, revue shows, sporting events and Broadway productions such as Rent, Cats, The Sound of Music, Grease and Riverdance. The aforementioned Comedy Stop hosts comics and rising stars in an intimate, nightclub setting, and the IMAX Theatre at the Tropicana features crystal-clear images and wrap-around digital surround sound to enhance watching popular films.
For some relaxation, Bluemercury Spa offers tranquil surroundings and a full range of spa treatments and services. The Salon at Tropicana is a full-service unisex salon complete with saunas, facials, manicures, spa pedicures and hair treatments. The Tropicana's Health Club has free weights, cardiovascular equipment, an indoor pool, a Jacuzzi and a sauna. During the summer season, the outdoor pool is open and offers a great view of the beach and boardwalk.
The Tropicana Casino and Resort has a total of 2,129 guest rooms and suites. The Havana Tower is part of The Quarter and consists of 505 guest rooms styled with contemporary décor and offering ocean and bay views. Guest rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, high speed internet access, two phone lines and 25-inch televisions. Each of the premium suites features all of the amenities of the standard rooms, plus living rooms with sofas and chairs, and an additional 25-inch television.
The South Tower guest rooms are suites with new bathrooms, upgraded amenities, flat screen televisions and double vanities. Guests in the South Tower are steps away from the casino, boardwalk, the Marketplace and the Health Club, and the indoor pool.
Located in the heart of the casino, the West Tower guest rooms have ocean and boardwalk views. The 50th floor features six penthouse super-suites (ranging in size from 1,600 to 3,000 square-feet) with panoramic views of the city, ocean and bay. These super-suites' themes are: Santa Fe, Caribbean, Marrakesh, Villa Roma, Versailles and Park Avenue. Guests in the West Tower are afforded nearby access to the casino, The Quarter and the Trop's Transportation Center.
