Douglas Witmer was raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but has lived and worked in Philadelphia since 1995. His work has been the subject of over 10 solo exhibitions around the United States, as well as group shows internationally. His painting combines simple shapes and patterns, bright colors and inventive mediums. For example, Witmer's "School Papers" series utilizes wide-ruled lined paper and simple geometric imagery to evoke feelings that were once thought to be reserved for a bygone era.

Joe Brenman has been a Philadelphia artist since the 1970s. In addition to his sculptures, he creates beautiful mosaic murals for public and private spaces. His inspiring pieces can be seen all over Philadelphia in SEPTA stations, bars and sides of buildings. These mosaics employ bright colors and striking human and natural figures. In each of them, there is a movement to the work that transcends the surface of the piece of art. His sculptures include terra cotta, stoneware, clay and bronze in more muted colors, but with the same feeling of motion.
