Just because you're not yet 21 doesn't mean you have to be confined to your bedroom on a Friday night. In Philadelphia, there are clubs that allow entrance for the under 21 crew. See below for some of the best.

Blurr Nightclub opens its doors every Friday and Saturday night at 10:15 p.m. and closes them at 2 a.m. Perfect for the college-aged kid, you have to be 18 to enter and party, but 21 to drink. Blurr Nightclub often has live music and DJs on Saturday and college night on Friday, when it's free to enter before 10:30 and drink specials are offered until midnight. Blurr boasts three floors with five full bars, VIP sections, private skyboxes and a main dance floor.

Coda Philly is always opened on Friday and Saturday and, unfortunately for those not of age, are strictly 21 and over to enter on the weekends. However, this venue frequently hosts events Sunday through Thursday that are often opened to those who haven't yet turned 21 — just check the event page to see if you are allowed entrance. Coda gets in a wide variety of musical guests and DJs playing music from EDM to rock. It has a lot of open space for dancing and multiple floors for optimal viewing of the artists.

The Union Transfer is a concert venue on Spring Garden Street that gets in musical groups from different genres, including folk, rock and pop. Shows are frequently all ages, but some are 21 and over, so make sure you check before purchasing a ticket. Since you're underage, you'll be confined to the general admission standing area on the first floor and won't be able to enter the bars. Tickets may be purchased ahead of time or at the door.

The Roxxy is a popular nightlife destination in Northern Liberties. With four rooms and a capacity of 2000 people, both the under 21 and over 21 crowds will find room to mingle and dance. Many of the events, especially on Friday, require guests to be 17 to enter and 21 to drink. Every Friday Night during the summer, head to the Roxxy Bamboo Bar for Beach Party Fridays and enjoy activities like foam parties and twerk fests. Get there early because ladies are free before 10 p.m.

Soundgarden Hall gets in some popular EDM acts weekly in its 1800-capacity Northern Liberties concert venue. This club has two lines for entrance, one for those over the age of 21, and one for those below the drinking age, so make sure you get in the right one by following the signs. Some nights are 21 plus, so make sure you check the event page before heading over. It's close to the Spring Garden station and has sufficient parking available. SGH has state-of-the-art sound and lighting along with elevated stages.
