Hours: Mon to Thurs – 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Fri to Sat – 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Sun – 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Since 1995, this Manayunk hot spot has been providing psychedelic body art at the hands of its expert staff of tattoo artists. Although it recently underwent a name change, the owner remains the same, and the workmanship is as consistently amazing as ever. Fresh off its stint at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention, the Philadelphia Eddies crew is well known for its outstanding and innovative approach to body art. With another location in the South Street Headhouse District, and guest artists appearing frequently, Philly Eddies definitely has a little something for everyone.

Often hailed as the cream of the crop when it comes to tattoo parlors in Philadelphia, Olde City Tattoo is a must-try for tattoo lovers. Celebrated for its expert and artistic interpretations of its customer's tattoo requests, this is a great place to plan your commemorative ink. Some artists here can be booked up for weeks in advance, but the friendly staff and laid back atmosphere is worth the wait.

This artful retreat in Fishtown is the place to get one of a kind, out of this world, high-definition tattoos. This art gallery and tattoo studio features custom tattooing by three resident artists. Tim (Victim) Pangburn specializes in new school style artwork and cover ups, Myke Chambers loves old school traditional tattoos with a personal twist, and David (Resp) Cheplivouza has always been intrigued by ornamental design and Asian-inspired art.

This specialty tattoo studio opened in April 2002, and it's the closest thing to Hawaii many east coasters will ever see. "No Ka Oi" means "The very best" in Hawaiian, and the owners make it a point to employ the best custom-work artists in the city. This place is an island oasis, making it great for a calm, pleasant tattoo experience.
