Top Restaurants With A View Of July 4th Fireworks In Philadelphia

The Fourth of July brings out the barbecues and our inner pyro - people have been setting things ablaze for fun since 7th century China, and we've carried that tradition on here in America. If you are more of the cautious, observant or flammable type, perhaps you are looking more for a restaurant to dine and enjoy the holiday pyrotechnics. Here are the top five restaurants in Philly with a view of the fireworks.

Amada
217 Chestnut St.
Philadelphia, PA. 19106
(215) 625-2450

You can get a decent view of the fireworks at most restaurants in Old City. If you are looking for something more casual, like drinks and appetizers, head to Amada for its famous tapas (small plates). It also has some of the best Latin flavors in the entire city, and Chef Garces of Amada just happens to be an Iron Chef. One of the most popular dishes is the Manchego plate, which is finely aged cheese on a baguette with apple slices served with lavender honey. For drinks, you'll definitely want to try one of the sangrias - there are three different flavors to suit different tapas and tastes. You also have the option of booking a table online.

Brick And Mortar
1315 N.12th St
Philadelphia, PA. 19107
(215)963-1500

Brick and Mortar over in the Callowhill section serves classy and upscale food without the "formality." This is a great choice if you are making the 4th a special occasion and wish to stay away from the waterfront. Brick & Mortar is decently pricey but sells some higher quality items such as their juices and mixed drinks, which are made from scratch. The beef is high end and this yields some of the finest cuisine in the city. Some favorites from diners are the Porkbundle, the selection of alcohol, and Sticky Toffee Muffin.
