Top November Concerts In Philadelphia

So, The Who was coming to Philadelphia – and then they weren't. But the now-canceled Who show doesn't mark the end of great concert entertainment in Philly this fall. Read on for five of the best (and buzziest) concerts coming to the Philadelphia area this November in a variety of genres.

Just when you thought the Dead was calling it a day, Grateful Dead alums Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir have teamed up with John Mayer, Allman Brothers' bassist Oteil Burbridge and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti to form the band Dead & Company. This highly anticipated show comes on the heels of the Dead's Fare Thee Well Tour, which celebrated the iconic rock band's 50^th anniversary. While "core" Dead alum Phil Lesh isn't part of this reunion, this updated lineup is still a must-see.

Friday, Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 7

Philly faves, The Hooters, are back. More than 35 years after they first hit the Philadelphia club scene, these local radio darlings, headed by founding members Eric Bazilion, Rob Hyman, David Uosikkinen and John Lilley, will play their first-ever shows at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside. Expect to hear plenty of "And We Danced" and "All You Zombies" on local rock radio leading up to this double shot of long-awaited Hooters shows.

Thursday, Nov. 12

The Eagles lead singer will skip the stadium tour for this solo date at a smaller venue in support of his first solo album in 15 years, Cass Country, making a pit stop at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia with opening act, Shawn Colvin. While longtime fans may have seen Henley in concert on the History of the Eagles World Tour City over the summer, this is a great opportunity to see the legendary musician perform his new music in a smaller setting.

Friday, Nov. 13

Who says Friday the 13^th is unlucky? On the heels of her London Sessions Tour, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will hold court in Atlantic City on November 13 for her MJB Live tour. The glitz and glam of the Borgata resort is the perfect setting to see this iconic singer, and it's also a pretty good excuse to make a weekend of it with the casino resort and hotel right there, too.

Speaking of awesome AC venues, country music legend, Toby Keith, will take over the Trump Taj Mahal this November for his hilariously titled Good Times and Pick Up Lines Tour.  This entertaining country star will belt out all of his biggest hits, including "Should've Been a Cowboy," "Red Solo Cup," "I Love This Bar,"  and of course his patriotic encores "American Soldier" and "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue." But Keith's 18^th studio album will be released in October, so expect plenty of new music at this show as well.
