Philadelphia International Children's Festival

The Philadelphia International Children's Festival is celebrating its anniversary at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The Philly Cycling Classic in Manayunk

This free event takes place on Sunday and requires a lot of endurance. The Philly Cycling Classic hosts thousands of bicyclists as they compete in a 12-mile course through the entire city. With a men's competition that starts at 8 a.m. and a women's that starts at 12:30 p.m. city goers can expect to see a ton of bikes on the roads. The start/finish line sits atop the Manayunk Wall, creating a dramatic end to the race as riders push up a 17 percent grade hill.

Roots Picnic

This outdoor festival gets better and better every year. Philly's own hip-hop band The Roots brings a variety of artists to the area for a yearly musical extravaganza. While open all summer long for one week only it's FREE! The Philadelphia Magic Gardens is giving free admission to anyone who stops by. The multi floor outdoor museum is infamous for its outdoor art installation and indoor galleries. The space was created using items you wouldn't see in a traditional museum. The special starts this Sunday, June 5 through Friday, June 10th.

Chinese Lantern Festival
