Top Deep Dish Pizza In Philadelphia

There is pizza, and then there is deep dish pizza, or Chicago Styled pizza which is not just a deep dish but has the toppings hidden underneath the sauce. It is not a popular pizza to find in this area, so it's a near-hidden gem if you are craving this more decadent version. So where can you find a good deep dish pizza or at least as close a version to Chicago style here in Philadelphia? We found a few; here are the top 5 places to get a deep dish pizza in Philly.

NYPD Pizza opened its doors in 2004, but brought with it, a nearly 40 years of experience making pizza in New York. So NYPD Pizza of course makes your traditional NY Style crust, which is the type of crust most pizza shops in Philadelphia make. But they do offer Chicago style on the menu and people who prefer the decadence of the deep dish really enjoy it. Just give them 30 minutes to make it. Besides pizza, they also make up most of your favorite "pizza place" foods like meatball subs, chicken cutlet sandwiches, and calzones. You can dine in, pick up, or order delivery.
