Top Bars and Clubs With Valet Parking In Philadelphia

Sometimes it can take just as long to find a parking spot in the city as it does to muddle through the traffic on the Schuylkill. Once you've reached your destination, shouldn't getting out of your car be the easy part? As an alternative to costly parking garages, some bars, clubs and lounges offer to park your car for you. Once you take advantage of the valet parking services at these top spots, paying a few extra bucks to have someone else do the parking may not seem like such a luxury after all.

Bourbon Blue
2 Rector St.
Philadelphia, PA 19127

On the weekends, or basically any evening in Manayunk, scoring a parking spot is like finding a pot of gold–-if you get there before everybody else and luck is on your side, you may just get your hands on one. For everyone who can't skip work in order to not have to walk miles for a night spent there, Bourbon Blue offers valet parking on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for the low price of $10. Starting at 6 p.m. and sometimes earlier, get somebody else to park your car and enjoy some drink specials with that extra time. On Fridays, you can get select drinks for a dollar, and Saturdays usually feature a DJ or live band. If you get distracted and have a "Dude, where's my car?" moment, don't worry-–even if you don't pick up your car by 2 a.m. when the bar closes, you can still snag your keys from the bar until 2:30 or 3 a.m. to give to your designated driver.

G Lounge

Philadelphia, PA 19103

In addition to being a popular nightclub, G Lounge brings style and substance to where you leave your ride for the night. Split the $18 cost with your group and enjoy parking like a VIP while paying a completely reasonable rate to know your ride is safe and sound from the Philadelphia Parking Authority--at least until the club closes. Club hours don't start until 9 p.m., so rolling up early won't get you any benefits. But either way, you can stay until 2 a.m. every Thursday through Sunday, and there are always special promotions and events going on, so there's no need to wander away from the bar and its drink specials and entertainment. For the Center City area, this valet parking is a steal for a great night out.

Cuba Libre
10 S 2nd St.
Philadelphia, PA 19106
(215) 627-0666

If you're planning on going out in Olde City for the night, driving in takes away much of the fun, especially during special events like First Friday. Instead of spending a good portion of your night hunting for a parking spot, stop out front of Cuba Libre and flag down one of the valets. It's $14 for the night, and until close, you can trek around Olde City to your heart's content without worrying about a parking ticket when your meter expires just before 10 p.m. Cuba Libre usually holds tasty happy hour specials and offers a cultural experience with weekly salsa exhibitions and Cuban rum worth the full price, so stop in for a drink and a dance before heading elsewhere for the night if you so choose. Just don't have so much fun that you forget where you parked your car–-or that you had it parked for you.

Chickie's and Pete's

Philadelphia, PA

www.chickiesandpetes.com

On days where there are sporting events or concerts in the city, Chickie's and Pete's is the place to watch when you can't score tickets. However, it's also the place to have your car parked if you do have tickets. Up to about two hours before and an hour after the event (if you don't stay), Chickie's and Pete's South Philadelphia location will park your ride then cart you to the stadium and back in their "Taxi Crab". During home events, it's just $15 to get a free ride with the crab, without any negative consequences at your next physical. Don't try to park and skip out on the valet if you're planning on leaving the restaurant though, cars abandoned in the Chickie's and Pete's lot while the owners flit off to destinations unknown may get towed.

Finnigan's Wake
3rd & Spring Garden St.
Philadelphia, PA 19123
(215) 574-9317

How many authentic Irish pubs in Philadelphia are classy and convenient enough to offer valet parking? Finnigan's Wake brings the count to at least one. While there is plenty of safe street parking available in the neighborhood earlier in the evenings, Northern Liberties gets quite packed as the night gets older. The valet parking at Finnigan's proves to be a more dependable option, and since the bar offers drink specials daily, don't be afraid to bring a crew and split the price with them. Not to be confused with "Finegan's Wake," the James Joyce novel and rowdy drinking song, Finnigan's Wake is three floors of cultural entertainment, from the frequent Irish bands playing at the Quiet Man's Pub to the upstairs "Lincoln Level" dedicated to the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln, and the Irish 69th Brigade. Ditch your car with the valet and take advantage of some authentic Irish history and hospitality.
