Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge In Critical Condition Following Emergency Heart Procedure
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A former Pennsylvania governor is listed in critical condition, following emergency heart surgery Thursday morning.
Tom Ridge was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas where he underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure.

A spokesman for the 72-year-old says he's been responsive.
Ridge was in Austin, Texas, for the Republican Governors Association Conference.
He served as governor for the Keystone State from 1995 until 2001.
In 2003, Ridge was named the first secretary to the Department of Homeland Security by President George W. Bush.

In a statement, current Gov. Tom Wolf says the Ridge family should know "that all of Pennsylvania is pulling for them, as he recovers."
Ridge also served in the U.S. Army and spent six terms in the House of Representatives.
