WATCH: Tom Brady Pokes Fun At Deflategate Controversy In New Commercial

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Tom Brady is finally having a laugh over his Deflategate suspension.

In a new Foot Locker commercial, the New England Patriots quarterback has a tongue-in-cheek response about two guys wondering why sales at the shoe store have been so good over the years.

"You know, that's an unfortunate mindset you got there," Brady says.

"Just because something's great year after year doesn't mean anything's going on. Why can't some things just be great?"

When one of the guys responded that it was just a question, Brady playfully went off.

"It starts with questions, and then questions turn into assumptions, and then assumptions turn into vacations. So why would you punish the Week of Greatness for something that never even happened?" the quarterback great questioned.

Brady was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season following the Deflategate controversy where the balls the Patriots used on offense in the first half of the 2015 AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts were underinflated. The Patriots won 45-7.

Since his return, Brady has thrown for 12 touchdowns and only one interception, while completing nearly 73 percent of his passes. The Pats are 7-2 on the season.
