Toews On Ice For Morning Skate, Says He'll Play In Game 6
Original Story From CBS Boston
(CBS) Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was on the ice for the team's morning skate and said he'll play in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final as the Hawks look to capture their second Stanley Cup in four seasons.
Toews said he was "100 percent ready to go" after he sat out the third period of Game 5 following a hit from Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk.
Though the extent of his injury is unknown, the 25-year-old Toews was seen skating on the first line with Patrick Kane and Bryan Bickell Monday morning.
Hawks forward Marian Hossa, who was a late scratch in Game 3 with an unspecified injury, didn't participate in the morning skate but is expected to play. Jamal Mayers took his place on the second line.
Bruins center Patrice Bergeron also didn't participate in Boston's morning skate after suffering an injury in Game 5.
